Raisbeck Aviation High School (RAHS), located on the campus of the world-renowned Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA is a STEM school that embraces Project- Based Learning (PBL) as fundamental to student learning and preparation for further education and careers in high demand STEM fields. With over a decade in designing and managing projects that require students to solve authentic problems and present solutions to subject matter experts, the RAHS staff is now ready to share the unique model that has led to the school being recognized as one of the country’s top STEM schools, a WA Achiever School and the state’s first Innovative High School. *And #132 in the country, out of more than 21,000 high schools reviewed by US News & World Reports
Learn from the experts: a team who knows what it takes to create in-depth projects that result in learning that sticks in all subjects, across disciplines, and into the workplace. The team includes RAHS master teachers in math, science, and the humanities along with nationally recognized experts with a deep understanding of PBL and Formative Assessment.
This week-long institute is designed for middle and high school educators and STEM administrators. Individuals and teacher teams with all levels of PBL experience are welcome.
