Many of the unique, priceless, and historically significant aircraft found at aviation museums world-wide owe their continued existence to the hard work and dedication of aviation archaeologists. The Museum of Flight is excited to host a two-day long Aviation Archaeology Symposium, featuring many of the foremost experts on aircraft recovery and crash-site preservation. Each day will feature a full schedule of hour-long presentations exploring all aspects of aviation archaeology, including amazing stories of specific recovery operations of some irreplaceable aviation artifacts.
Did you know that 2014 marks the Museum's 49th anniversary? What started as a small collection of aircraft on display at the Seattle Center in 1965 is now the premier educational aviation and space museum in the world.
You can help us kick off year 49--and gear up for year 50--with an easy online donation of $49 today.
Thank you for your continued support The Museum of Flight! We hope to see you soon.
